Okay, so I cant really write much right now.  But I promise to later tonight. 

Dave and I have been pretty sick the past few days.  We got food poisoning- eww- so I wasn’t able to go to my friends wedding to take pictures, and I couldn’t go to my other friends house to take infant pictures.  UGH!  But I was able to reschedule the infant pictures, but not the wedding.  Gosh Mary Ann, thanks for not rescheduling your wedding around me.  HEHEHE!  I bet it was beautiful and amazing, like she is!

Oooh I get to shoot my senior rep this weekend.  I’m super excited.  I can’t wait.  She is a rad chick (who says rad?  Am I aging myself) and I can’t wait to get her pictures!

2 quick things.  I dont post about things like this ever, well at least not on here.  But there was a plane crash this past weekend that severely affected DJ AM and Travis Barker, and killed Travis’ assistant, the pilot and the co pilot.  Although this does not affect me personally this hits home because I know/knew people who are related to Travis’ ex wife.  Anyways… keep them in your thoughts because this is a sad story for those who passed away because of this and the family that they left behind. 

On a lighter note..  I thought I’de mention a cool giveaway that’s going on here.  It’s for a cute little bag.  I love the pin up joey bag and if you try  to buy before I can then I might be mad at you.

I’m thinking of having a few little contests on here.  All I really have is scrapbooking supplies that are pretty awesome, but I’ve been making some other things so maybe I’ll do those as giveaways.  Not sure yet.

Holiday Mini Sessions

Have you been wanting to send out an awesome Christmas card but just haven’t
gotten around to it? Now is your chance! Have you been wanting to update
your family’s photos somewhere beautiful and outside in an all natural
location–in the fall?

This will be an opportunity for the family (or just the children) to be
photographed for the Christmas card. It is also an opportunity to quickly
update your children’s portraits and the family portrait, too. Don’t worry,
I don’t do anything too creative or fancy during these mini sessions. There
is a lot more *posing* going on, which most people like for Christmas cards.

Yes, you may order other prints beyond the Christmas cards from your
gallery. Some people do, and some people do not.

The pricing for this year will be as follows:

These are 1/2 hour sessions.

2008 rate: $45

You will receive an online gallery of 10-20 final images for viewing.

I will be offering new sizes and types of cards (two-sided, etc. with a UV
coating). I will post example cards in September. All cards come with
envelopes. Cards are printed at a top quality professional lab. They are the
best of quality.

Okay so a few little things to post!

 Just finished editing the wonderful Mrs Mandy’s daughters pictures!  What an adorable little girl!  So full of happiness.  Her leg was hurting her the whole time but you would never have known with the smile she has in all of her pictures! 🙂

 

And I finished one picture from my darling friends Mary Ann and Jays engagment shoot.  I love this picture.  Its like I wasn’t even there.  The have so much love and respect for each other.  I have to say I really love when he would call her “Pretty” (thats her nickname).  It was just so sweet.

 One other thing.  A few weeks ago I signed up for an organization called the littlest heroes project.  Here is a little excerpt from their website.

The Littlest Heroes Project is a non-profit based organization made up of professional photographers nationwide that provide free photo sessions to our nations Littlest Heroes. This is their way of giving back and taking a stand for these children who sometimes feel forgotten because of their illnesses. We are here to let them know that they are heroes to many, and to share their inspirational stories and photos with the world.  

Now organizations like these are something that are close to my heart.  I feel that this really is my way of giving back. Usually I bug the heck out of my family and friends asking for donations for the Light the Night Walk, but I’m not doing that this year and I think that this is a great opportunity to give back in a way that I have near been able to before.  If you are a photographer and you are looking for a way to give back to your community please take a look at this website.

La La La

So I have been spending a lot of time on the development of my website.  So I havent been able to edit AS many photos as I would have liked this past week.  But dont fret my wonderful clients.  I will be diligently working on them tonight, tomorrow and on Sunday.  YAY!

Here is my schedule tomorrow.

10 am- Session, Mama and child

1pm- Engagment photos of my dear friend MaryAnn and Jay

7pm-Scott Kelby Photowalk!  YAY!

10pm- Going to a friends for some much needed fun time.

I dont figure any of you really care about my schedule for tomorrow but sometimes I jsut like to point out that I’m an actual photographer and that I actually get paid to do something I love.  I have been telling my husband that I want to have my own studio in a year.  Now I know that is definitly pushing it and I probably wont have it for 2 years it is just nice to be wishful and dream.  It pushes me to want to work harder and get more accomplished before I’m thirty.  I’m not saying 30 is old, I’m just saying that 30 means that you are really an adult.  I like being in my 20s, I am still young enough that if I make a mistake then I can say “Oh well I’m young”  but when your thirty its like ” Wow I should have known better”.  Okay so I have rrambled on way to long.  HA!  So I figure I should end this post.

Oh ya, I still haven’t gotten any takers on my post below.  Really I need help with my website.  I suck at it.  Someone should really take pity on me.  I’ll totally brag about you for the rest of my life, or until I get a new website.

Website Design and stuff

Okay so I’m not gonna lie to you and say that I totally rock at website design.  I’ve been trying to figure it out with Dreamweaver, but I dont think I like what I’ve made.  I’ve changed up the website yet again.  And yes I know there isn’t anything really in the gallery- working on that still- and yes I know that when you click on the top gallery link it wont work but if you click on the bottom gallery link and then back to the top gallery link it works.  Totally weird!  Anyways…  I’m trying to find a website designer.  Okay and someone who is crazy cheap and by that I mean free.  I really dont have it in my budget to hire or buy a template, I ma just starting out.  But what I can offer is that I will take some pictures for you, edit them and even give you the cd in exchange.  Now this doesn’t have to be just you, it could be your kids, your family, your spouse, whomever.  I dont care as long as they aren’t naked pictures.  I dont do nudes, well unless they are little babies.  So if you know anyone who can help make an awesome yet simple page please email me.  I have a few sites that I like so that seems simple but I cant make mine look like them.
