Little Zoey

December 16, 2008

She is precious. She is an angel. She is amazing. That is all I can say about this beautiful and wonderful young lady. You may have read my previous post about little miss Z. Maybe not, I may have posted that on my personal blog. Either way I will explain a little bit about how special she is to me. A few weeks ago I was contacted by Noah who is a friend of Jenny’s (Zoey’s mama) and he happens to be a photographer as well. An awesome one at that, if you live in Hawaii you outta check him out. Anyways… He asked if I wouldn’t mind taking photos of his friends daughter as he is in HI and can’t do it himself. Well… after having him contact the Littlest heroes (and making sure he wasn’t a psycho luring me out to KY and trying to kill me, sorry Noah I was bit nervous) I spoke with Jenny and had things all a go. Here is a link to miss Zoey’s Caringbridge site. Please take a look and keep Zoey in your thoughts and prayers. I’m hoping I can get out there in a few more months to take updated photos for this family, when it’s warmer and sunny outside.

Here are a few little sneak peaks of what I’ve gotten so far. I’m quite pleased with how they are turning out.

Just in time for the holidays

Hey guys! I want you to take a look at my dear friend Amber’s photography blog. She is doing something extra special for ONE reader. I wish I could help out in this way but I’m not established enough to do this. But she is and she rocks! Anyways… Check out and nominate someone this year. Here is a little excerpt from her post:

I was browsing blogs today and found a movement that is sweeping through the photography community called Giving is Awesome. Photographers all over the country are donating sessions to needy families and we are excited to get in on the giving!

You will need to check out her blog for more details.

Wow it’s been a while

Hey guys! Traditionally I try and keep things upbeat on here. But I wanted to let you know of a little girl that I will be photographing in the next few weeks. Her name is Zoey and she only 2 months old and has epileptic seizures. Every time I hear/read her story it makes me tear up because she is so precious and perfect and how hard it must be for her mother. Anyways… long story short, please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Also, could you pray a little for me because I am afraid that I will have a hard time being the photographer and not getting as emotional as I usually do. This is why I didn’t sign up for Now I lay me down to sleep , another photography organization that is very special for families like this. Here is her Caringbridge site. I know her mom will appreciate your thoughts!

Onto other sad news… There is a local photography studio/husband and wife whose blog I follow. The wife was pregnant but there has been complications in the pregnancy and the baby did not live. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. It’s weird because even though I don’t know them personally, I feel like I know them. I guess that makes them great photographers because you feel like they are your friend.

Onto happier news

I had a mini session with Mrs Cortner handsome son this past Sunday. I swear he has the best eyes ever. I long to have the clarity that I see in his eyes. Here are a few of my favorites.

Isn’t he adorable? I wasn’t lying to ya!

I finished editing my mini session for the Hannah family and am in love with their pictures. It was such a wonderful morning, even though it was FREEZING! You really would have no idea! I hope they love them too!
