I am! I am! We are still working on the details but the lovely Ali Hohn and I are working to schedule a workshop for all you Nashville photographers. I am super duper excited. If you don’t know who she is here is a brief she is an awesome photographer who taught herself how to use off camera flash. She now travels the states teaching workshops for those of us, me included, that don’t know as much as they would like to know about off camera flash. I stole this little brief about me section from her blog:

Welcome to a great place to learning Off Camera Flash. This is by far my favorite aspect of photography and I am so happy that you want to learn how to do this. I taught myself how to do off camera flash and I hope that you will learn a lot from me.

Here are a few details that I do know for sure: It will be June 5th – 7th, the price is $600.00, $250 due by April 10th and the rest due by March 25th. If you are interested feel free to email me, and I will get you on the list. Can’t wait to see all of your bright and shiny faces! 🙂

ETA!!!

We have postponed this till September in order to give people enough time to save some $$$. This will be super awesome and I can’t wait to do this!

Isn’t she lovely….?

March 24, 2009

Isn’t she wonderful…? Yes SHE is. This is Jess! Everyone say HI JESS!!! Jess is awesome and fun and everything I could ever hope for in a client. Jess is a local musician here in Nashville and she totally rocks. Really, she does, and I’m not just saying it because I’m biased. She totally rocks! We have been trying to have her session for the past month, but every time we would schedule it Mother Nature would say “Not today”. Maybe Mother Nature knew that we needed the PERFECT weather for this session, because last Saturday was perfect. A little hazy, but still sunny and warm. Just PERFECT! Without further adieu here are a few images of the lovely and wonderful and super talented Jess.

Oh and because she swears she isn’t “Americas Next Top Model” here she is strutting her stuff. I think we have a winner!!!!!

A few more sneaks

March 22, 2009

Amanda and Jeff are great and wonderful people. They are my kind’ve people; fun and silly and they like to laugh… a lot! Here are a few more shots from our session. I can’t wait to get together with you guys again!

I am going to totally share my total geekiness and geekify you for a few minutes. When I was like 7 I was soo in love with Jordan Knight of the New Kids on the Block (NKOTB). I LOVED the New Kids on the Block, they totally rocked my socks! This was before Backstreet Boys and N’Sync, but after New Edition (yes I do know my boy bands). Anyways… for my birthday my Uncle Joe and Aunt Marie gave me this kittie. He was all gray and beautiful so of course I named him Jordan. Jordan was a cool cat. I’m not sure what ever happened to that cat, I know he got a round because he was very friendly with all the other female stray cats. maybe he ran away and finally settled down with a good girl kittie. So fast forward like 18 years, I’m 25 and the New Kids got back together to tour and I get to see them… for the first time ever. That night was tonight. Tonight I became that 7 year old little girl again. My friend Jenny and I screamed with our high pitch screeches that only a dog could hear and we danced and danced. We had a total blast. Here are a few photos from the night, taken my my trusty Verizon LG EnVy2. So it’s not the best quality, in fact, I dont know that it has any quality to it, but here they are. Ahhh and I swear Jordan looked RIGHT AT ME! Okay, maybe he didn’t, but can’t a girl dream. HA!!

So excited

March 16, 2009

I finished working on Ashley’s head shots and they make me happy. 🙂 My favorite photo is the image below. Have you ever watched Americas Next Top Model? Well they always show the final image where they model for Cover girl, it’s their beauty shot. I don’t know why but I feel like this IS my “Covergirl” shot. Oh and I can’t figure out which conversion I like more. The first is a normal edit, the second is the black and white and the third is my fun editing. I love them all, which one do you like?

Tots-to-Teens is today

March 11, 2009

Yes!!!! I am so excited! I haven’t been able to go all the seminars that I want to go to, most of them are out of town and I just cant justify spending the money for the seminar and for the travel, hotel, car rental and food. But this one is coming to me. Sandy Puc is an amazing children’s photographer and I can’t wait for tonight when I get to got to her seminar and learn from her. Which in turn is good for you because I get to increase my knowledge and that reflects in your photos. Yes!!!! Win… Win.. Right? So it’s tonight and I’m excited! That’s all for now.

Oh wait… Here is a photo from Mrs Holly’s session. A post is never complete without a photo. Talk to you all later!

I had a lovely maternity session yesterday. We walked around downtown Franklin, taking pictures and laughing…A LOT! We only had a short span of time to get this session in because the weather was windy, cloudy and per weather.com we were supposed to have isolated thunderstorms. I didn’t see any rain, but we left after an hour or so, we may have just missed it. hehe! Here are a few quick proofs. I hope they LOVE them!

I can’t tell which edit I like most. Color or Black and White.

Yep I did it

March 9, 2009

I blogged twice in one day. I totally rock. I wanted to share another session I did this past weekend. Her name is Ashley Larsen and she is an actress. You have to say actress like me, in that fancy accent, Act-ress (that’s where you put the emphasis on the accent). ha! She was super fun to work with and I’m glad she didn’t poke fun at me and the dork that I am. hehe! Without further adieu here is the lovely act-ress Ashley!

Where have I been?

March 9, 2009

I know you are asking that question. Well… I have been busy with photo sessions, editing and photographing. I’ve got a lot of great things coming up, as long as Springtime in Tennessee decides to stay dry and not super cloudy!

Last week I had the opportunity to photograph pretty momma to be Holly! We had a blast, although it was about 30 degrees outside. So as expected, we spent most of our session inside. But we were able to sneak out for just a few photos. Here are some of my favorites! 🙂
