A fun filled day of super quick mini sessions with Bella Flora Photography.

What is a mini session you ask?

Well it’s a 25 minute photography session with yours truly. In this day and age a lot of people don’t have a lot of time to spend hours getting a photograph of their loved ones.

Who is this event intended for?

A family with children who dont want to sit for hours to get that perfect picture
The family that is on a budget and can’t afford the high end session fees
A group of friends who want to give the gift of pictures
A child who wants to surprise their parents, grandparents, etc.
This list could continue for a long time, pretty much everyone needs a photo to be taken to capture that moment and I want to be there to help.

The Details:
Date: Saturday November 22nd, 2008 -Beginning at 10 am and ending at 3 pm – time slots available
Location: Westhaven Neighborhood- filled with the most amazing scenery.
Price: $45.00 for the session fee.

What you get for your session fee:

25 minute session
10-20 proofed images on an online gallery

What else do you get:

Because we are shooting mini sessions and it’s right before the holidays I wanted to be able to give back a little bit. Right now all prints will be 25% off.

Book your session now by sending me an email to bella@bellafloraphotography.com

Shut up n’ Shoot! Tour

September 30, 2008

Hey guys!  I try to keep my site free from advertising so that when something really great comes along you will think it is as awesome as I do.  This is straight from the One Photo Source website.  I frequent their forums all the time.  I have learned so much from them in the few months that I have been lurking around on there.  I think you should all check out this site as well as attend this awesome workshop!  You know I will be there!
Thanks again!

Steph 🙂

What is “shut up n’ shoot” about? It’s about getting out and doing, not just talking about it. Our workshops presented by Shawn Reimers and Bruce Mayhill are designed to give you “hands on” experience. We don’t believe in all day lectures just to sell you a product at the end. Rather, we believe in getting out and shooting on location with a selection of models to give participants actual hands on instruction and training. Classroom instruction is fine for college students, but photographers need to shoot in order to further their skills. Tired of talk, and want some action? Then our workshops are for you.

“Shut up n’ shoot” is part of the “freestyle photography workshop” series. Freestyle implies that your “free” to break the rules. Whether it’s our freestyle weddings, freestyle lighting (free light) or freestyle senior workshop, you know the rules, now let’s break them. Since the age of digital photography, there has been a drastic change in the way we photograph. We’ve been liberated from the expense of film and can now try poses and lighting techniques that we never thought we’d do at the expense of “wasting a frame”. If your tired of talk, and ready for some action, our workshops are the right place for you.

What is “freestyle”?
It’s breaking the rules and tradition and liberating yourself to photograph your subjects based on the creative person you are. We take you beyond the traditional and into a creative world that brides and seniors are looking for today.

Offered Workshops:

Freestyle Wedding Photography seeing beyond the traditional

Freestyle Lighting (free light) using a blend of natural, parabolic, video and speedlites

Freestyle Seniors you need to offer something different and extraordinary in this day and age to attract a senior client.

Cost: $195 per participant

PSA forum members receive a 10% discount on all workshops and products.

lalala

September 23, 2008

Okay, so I cant really write much right now.  But I promise to later tonight.

Dave and I have been pretty sick the past few days.  We got food poisoning- eww- so I wasn’t able to go to my friends wedding to take pictures, and I couldn’t go to my other friends house to take infant pictures.  UGH!  But I was able to reschedule the infant pictures, but not the wedding.  Gosh Mary Ann, thanks for not rescheduling your wedding around me.  HEHEHE!  I bet it was beautiful and amazing, like she is!

Oooh I get to shoot my senior rep this weekend.  I’m super excited.  I can’t wait.  She is a rad chick (who says rad?  Am I aging myself) and I can’t wait to get her pictures!

2 quick things.  I dont post about things like this ever, well at least not on here.  But there was a plane crash this past weekend that severely affected DJ AM and Travis Barker, and killed Travis’ assistant, the pilot and the co pilot.  Although this does not affect me personally this hits home because I know/knew people who are related to Travis’ ex wife.  Anyways… keep them in your thoughts because this is a sad story for those who passed away because of this and the family that they left behind.

On a lighter note..  I thought I’de mention a cool giveaway that’s going on here.  It’s for a cute little bag.  I love the pin up joey bag and if you try  to buy before I can then I might be mad at you.

I’m thinking of having a few little contests on here.  All I really have is scrapbooking supplies that are pretty awesome, but I’ve been making some other things so maybe I’ll do those as giveaways.  Not sure yet.

Hope you have a great day.  I’m just hoping to make it through the day because I want to go home and work on some christmas cards.

XOXO

Steph

Sneaky Sneak Peak

September 14, 2008

I seriously had so much photographing this family.  This little girl was such a doll.  Oh and I loved the tutu.  Thanks Sara for sharing how you made it! 🙂

What a great family

September 8, 2008

Aren’t they just amazing?  I love families that are so into each other.  Plus this little boy was so cute!

Oh and here are few more from my maternity session.  So much fun!

Holiday Mini Sessions

September 2, 2008

Have you been wanting to send out an awesome Christmas card but just haven’t
gotten around to it? Now is your chance! Have you been wanting to update
your family’s photos somewhere beautiful and outside in an all natural
location–in the fall?

This will be an opportunity for the family (or just the children) to be
photographed for the Christmas card. It is also an opportunity to quickly
update your children’s portraits and the family portrait, too. Don’t worry,
I don’t do anything too creative or fancy during these mini sessions. There
is a lot more *posing* going on, which most people like for Christmas cards.

Yes, you may order other prints beyond the Christmas cards from your
gallery. Some people do, and some people do not.

The pricing for this year will be as follows:

These are 1/2 hour sessions.

2008 rate: $45

You will receive an online gallery of 10-20 final images for viewing.

I will be offering new sizes and types of cards (two-sided, etc. with a UV
coating). I will post example cards in September. All cards come with
envelopes. Cards are printed at a top quality professional lab. They are the
best of quality.

Be on the look out for more information for Christmas Card designs

See this post for Christmas card samples.
